The opportunity

exists for a Façade & Design Engineer with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience. The person must have full working rights in Australia.

The role

offers the successful applicant a wide variety of opportunities, including:

  • Interstate and international projects.
  • Working on diverse, interesting and challenging residential, commercial and industrial projects.
  • Working with an innovative team on high-level engineering projects.
  • Being involved in the design of façade projects as well as reinforced concrete, structural steel and timber structures.
  • Undertaking structural analysis with software, spreadsheets and hand calculations.
  • Preparing sketches to inform drafting or preparing drawings by hand.
  • Undertaking site inspections.
  • Preparing high-quality reports and other related documents.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Experience in façade engineering is the key.
  • Experience in the design of steel/concrete structures.
  • Experience using engineering software, including STRAND7, Robot, INDUCTA, THERM, and AutoCAD (or similar software).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards and Design Codes.
  • Understanding of the design process from tender concepts through to IFC.
  • Understanding of the BCA and Codes related to façade engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Ability to analyse and design either with or without computer software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: Negotiable on experience.
