About the Role
- Delve into department orientation and provide clinical education support to new staff, upskilling existing team members, novices, graduates, and undergraduate nursing students.
- Deliver face-to-face education sessions, conduct mandatory training, and assess skills to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Disseminate best practices and national standards throughout the team.
Essential Criteria
- Current and unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA.
- A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in scrub scout, anaesthetics, or PACU/recovery.
- Proven preceptorship experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in skills assessment.
- Facilitation or clinical education/teaching experience, or leadership roles in perioperative services.
- Postgraduate certifications in specialty areas or education.
