Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

Our Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Data Insights Specialist to provide strategic insights and advice that informs, influences and enhances policy development and decision making.

The role will involve collaborating with stakeholders and promoting the use of data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake analytical projects in partnership with diverse stakeholders in a complex and sensitive environment
  • Use frameworks, analysis and unique data sets to support strategic decision-making at the department
  • Provide advice to staff on best practices in data analysis
  • Support the implementation of initiatives to grow a data-driven culture in the organization
Requirements:
  • Able to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Can work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment, manage competing priorities and effectively meet tight timeframes to deliver projects
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information succinctly to a non-technical audience
  • Exemplary standards of integrity and professionalism, and adherence to organizational values
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications and experience in statistics, economics, econometrics, data science or a related field
  • Experience in undertaking complex statistical analysis and modelling using statistical software such as R, Python or Stata
