At Alstom, we're committed to delivering innovative transport solutions that move people and communities forward. As a Track Maintenance Assistant, you'll play a critical role in supporting the maintenance and safe operation of the Sydney Light Rail network.

About the Role

This is a permanent night shift position, from 10pm – 6am, where you'll work alongside a close-knit team of technical professionals. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining track infrastructure and cleaning in accordance with specified procedures.
  • Litter picking and drain cleaning.
  • Cleaning of drains, depot floors, and track/track slab in pedestrianised zones.
  • Performing the role of a Sydney Light Rail Protection Officer (SLR PO).
  • Reporting daily and weekly on activities, problems found, and measures taken.

We value passion and attitude over experience. To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a team player with a can-do attitude, able to commit to and thrive working on permanent night shifts. Experience in track/infrastructure, maintenance, or cleaning would be preferred, but not essential.
