About the Role:
Snowy Hydro Limited is a leading energy business that has been providing reliable energy to Australia for generations. As an Environmental Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's environmental and regulatory compliance data monitoring, collection, storage, and public reporting processes are accurate and complete.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve Snowy Hydro's environmental and regulatory compliance data monitoring, collection, storage, and public reporting processes.
- Work with operations and ICT to ensure hydro and thermal data collection systems are monitoring and recording compliance-related data accurately and completely.
- Prepare and submit greenhouse and carbon-related reports (NGER), assist with the Cloudseeding annual report, and prepare and submit pollution reports (NPI).
- Assist with performance reports required for occupation of the SMP EMP and other regulatory reports (PCB returns).
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental or a Natural Resource Management discipline or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an environmental advisory or natural resource management role.
- Exceptional customer service and ability to develop effective relationships with all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated data analysis, interpretation, and analytical skills along with report writing and preparation skills to meet external compliance obligations.
- Skills in environmental auditing and incident investigation.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and complete assignments within allocated deadlines.
- Knowledge of NSW and/or VIC environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
