Principal Instructional Leader

The primary focus of a classroom educator is on designing and delivering educational programs to achieve specific learning outcomes.
Effective educators engage in ongoing reflection and inquiry to enhance their knowledge and skills, thereby improving student engagement and learning.
Responsibilities- Leading educational groups and individualized instruction;
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum areas or other educational programs within the school setting;
- Undertaking various teaching-related and organizational duties as determined by the School Principal;
- Participating in activities such as parent-teacher meetings, staff gatherings, camps, and excursions;
- Undertaking supervisory duties that support the education process.
Range 2 educators play a significant role in supporting schools to improve student performance and educational outcomes aligned with school strategic plans and state-wide priorities. They also contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities.
A critical component of this work involves enhancing the knowledge base of educators within their school about student learning and high-quality instruction, thereby assisting their school to define quality teaching practices.
Range 2 educators are expected to possess content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students, model exemplary teaching practices, and mentor/coach other educators to engage in critical reflection of their practice and to support staff to expand their capacity.
They provide expert advice on the content, processes, and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning, supervise and train one or more student teachers, and assist staff to use student data to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.
