We are seeking an experienced data leader to drive business outcomes through strategic use of data and analytics.

About the Role

The successful candidate will design, structure and maintain key data assets as well as lead data-driven initiatives for a large retail business unit. This role is critical in ensuring support office and front-of-house teams can access key data required for superior customer outcomes and efficient store management.

  • Lead the analysis of data and reports with a strong focus on performance and commercial acumen, working closely with stakeholders to interpret outcomes and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Develop and implement data strategies to ensure data integrity, uphold quality standards, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Design and establish data collection systems and strategies to enhance statistical efficiency and improve overall data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with senior leadership team and key stakeholders to prioritise business and information needs.
  • Provide reporting for weekly and monthly performance reporting, annual report data points, and other reports as required.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data governance and data-driven storytelling, with success in transitioning manual processes into automated solutions, driving efficiency and innovation. As an experienced leader, they will be committed to fostering learning and development within their team.

They will also need

  • 10 years + experience in data and analytics in a large and complex organisation, including leading analytics functions.
  • Ability to prepare and present comprehensive briefs, reports and initiatives and other material to senior and executive management, and to staff at all levels.
  • Experience building reporting data solutions.
  • Experience with advanced database querying (SQL) and automation approaches (GCP, Python etc).
  • Report visualisation across Tableau, Power BI and other similar software.
