Job Title: Medical Practitioner

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Practitioner to join our healthcare team in the Nowra region.

As a VR General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a teaching practice affiliated with RACGP/ACRRM and the University of Wollongong for medical student teaching. The location is in the Nowra area, Illawarra region.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and experience in general practice in Australia. Vocational Registration (FRACGP | FACRRM | FRNZCGP) and full Australian work rights are essential.

The role offers a full-time position with rostered weekend work (approximately 1 weekend per month). You will be working in a bulk-billing practice with a clinical mentor and induction period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care and deliver chronic disease management and mental health support with practice nurses and a mental health nurse.
  • Collaborate on maternity/shared care arrangements with obstetricians and hospital maternity services; telehealth specialist consultations supported.
  • Perform procedural treatments such as minor excisions, biopsies, removal of foreign bodies, Implanon insertion, IV fluids, catheterisation, plaster application, IV antibiotics, allergy desensitisation, wedge resections, nail removals, suturing, resuscitation and stabilization as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Vocational Registration (FRACGP | FACRRM | FRNZCGP).
  • General Practice experience in Australia.
