Job Title: Medical Practitioner - Teaching Role

">Role Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to work as a medical practitioner in a teaching practice affiliated with RACGP/ACRRM and the University of Wollongong for medical student teaching. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, vocational registration, and experience in general practice in Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in a bulk-billing practice with a clinical mentor and induction period.
  • Utilise dedicated treatment room services with nurses (wound dressings, immunisations, spirometry, Doppler, ECGs, INR clinic).
  • Deliver chronic disease management and mental health support with practice nurses and a mental health nurse.
  • Collaborate on maternity/shared care arrangements with obstetricians and hospital maternity services; telehealth specialist consultations supported.
  • Perform procedural treatments (minor excisions, biopsies, removal of foreign bodies, Implanon insertion, IV fluids, catheterisation, plaster application, IV antibiotics, allergy desensitisation, wedge resections, nail removals, suturing, resuscitation and stabilization as needed).
Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Vocational Registration (FRACGP | FACRRM | FRNZCGP) and full Australian work rights.
  • General Practice experience in Australia.
  • Passion and commitment to providing a high level of care to patients.
Location and Employment Details

Located in the Nowra region, this is a permanent position offering a full-time opportunity with rostered weekend work (approximately 1 weekend per month).
