Procurement Manager Job Description

The Procurement Manager will lead sourcing activities and contracts for Raw Materials and Directs as well as indirect corporate spend. They will be a key member of the team responsible for developing category strategies on an end-to-end source to contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate supplier landscape, review spend analysis and manage tenders through to contract award
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers as part of ongoing vendor performance review and strategic partnerships model
  • Develop supplier framework that expands supplier base and mitigates sole supplier risk
  • Work hand-in-hand with Supply Chain & Operations to ensure timely delivery of product and materials to manage inventory volumes as required while leveraging volume pricing win

Requirements:

  • Procurement Manager, Category Manager, Category Specialist or highly commercial Purchasing Manager with proven track-record of success at managing direct spend categories and raw materials for construction, building, civil engineering, infrastructure or similar industries
  • Expertise in spend analysis, identifying international pricing and commodity considerations and familiarity with network of manufacturing, building materials and construction suppliers
  • Comfortable working with range of stakeholders and viewed as genuine procurement business partner to create value and ensure optimal outcomes are achieved
