Recent Graduate Dietitian - Opportunity to Grow Clinical Nutrition Skills
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate dietitian to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
- The position offers two rotations, first at the subacute campus and then at the acute campus, providing valuable experience in different settings.
- As a Graduate Dietitian, you will work closely with experienced dietitians and have opportunities to contribute to quality improvement initiatives or research.
During the first year, you will be based in our Sub-acute and Ambulatory Care Streams, and in the second year, you will move to our Specialist Medicine Stream. Each rotation has an allocated Senior Dietitian as the Stream Leader, providing guidance and support.
As a key member of our team, your primary workload allocation will be in inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. Your workload may vary according to operational needs across the stream and department.
To be successful in this role, you must meet certain criteria, including:
- Being qualified to practice as a dietitian in Australia, recognized by Dietitians Australia (DA), and meeting the criteria for the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) program.
- Having graduated from a Master of Dietetics course in or after November 2023.
- Being enthusiastic, self-motivated, reflective, and willing to learn.
- Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Being hardworking with exemplary organizational skills, including efficient workload management and ability to prioritize.
- Having effective nutrition counselling skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
