Job Summary

We are seeking an Aboriginal Allied Health Assistant Trainee to join our dynamic Physiotherapy department. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual with a strong commitment to health and well-being to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of patients in a culturally sensitive environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with patients, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life. As a trainee, you'll receive hands-on experience, mentorship, and training from our experienced physiotherapy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing Allied Health Assistant support for Physiotherapy services at Nepean Hospital
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Aboriginality - being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a requirement for this position
  • Minimum Year 10 School Education or above who do not hold a certificate III and who are not already under a traineeship program
  • A willingness to complete a certificate III in Allied Health Assistant qualifications throughout the traineeship program
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and operate with minimal supervision
