Job Opportunity: Maintenance Officer

The role of a Maintenance Officer is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of hotel systems and equipment. This position involves a range of responsibilities, from responding to guest repair requests to performing preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubrication to ensure the longevity of hotel equipment.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Display knowledge or ability to acquire expertise in various areas including air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building.
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and other guestroom items.
  • Program TVs, perform general housekeeping duties, and maintain engineering-related inventory.
  • Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before conducting any maintenance work.
