As a Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the engineering and maintenance activities of the Australian Defence Force.

About the Role

You will be responsible for analysing engineering change requests and defect reports, developing preventive maintenance regimes, and managing technical publications.

Your work will also involve liaising with key stakeholders including Operating Units, Joint Logistics Command, and Commonwealth contractors.

This role includes participation in the on-call Service Desk rotation, where you will respond to technical enquiries and support corrective maintenance activities.

You will be instrumental in maintaining configuration baselines, approving spare parts, and auditing external maintenance providers.

About You

We are seeking an individual with a strong foundation in engineering and technical services, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality.

You should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, managing your own tasks while supporting broader team objectives.

A successful candidate will have significant exposure to a relevant technical engineering function, practical understanding of AAP system and ERP, and hold a technical qualification in a related engineering discipline.
