At the Supreme Court of Victoria, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate to assist the Honourable Justice Hannon.
About the Role- This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Common Law Division and contribute to the administration of justice.
- You will have the chance to gain valuable experience working closely with a judge and develop your skills in judgment production, clerking, and administrative tasks.
- Assist with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editing
- Clerk in court
- Review files and orders
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge
- Prepare research memoranda
- Liaise with court staff, the public, and other stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Exceptional proofreading and writing skills, with proficiency in grammar
- A strong academic record and qualifications in Law, with 1-2 years post-admission experience desirable but not essential
