Disability Support Worker

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to support people with disabilities in shared housing or their own homes. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients with complex needs, including physical and verbal behaviors of concern, using proactive strategies and clear communication.
  • Implement person-centered active support and behavioral support plans, showing initiative and flexibility.
  • Assist clients in daily personal care routines, including bathing, shaving, and toileting.
  • Encourage community participation and support clients in daily activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 or willingness to obtain.
  • A valid New South Wales driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Demonstrated competency in basic technology usage on mobile and desktop platforms.
  • A commitment to work flexibly throughout the week, including public holidays.
