Business Services Accountant Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Services Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a vital role in providing expert accounting and taxation advice to individuals, businesses, and other organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and taxation fundamentals, as well as experience working with clients to prepare income tax returns and financial statements. You will also be responsible for researching and consulting on tax issues and drafting tax advice for managers and partners.

  • Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, sole traders, companies, and trusts.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and state tax returns, such as payroll tax and land tax.
  • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns to the review stage, including the preparation of detailed working papers.
  • Researching and consulting on a range of tax issues and drafting tax advice for managers and partners.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • A degree in accounting from an Australian institution.
  • Completed or working towards a CA/CPA qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an Australian accounting firm.
  • Experience using MYOB AE, Xero, and Excel.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation fundamentals.
