Job Title: SALES & MARKETING EXECUTIVE

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Sales and Marketing Executive at Sydney Airport. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing assigned account base, and generating revenue in line with our annual business plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the General Manager regarding hotel strategies and direction.
  • Liaise with Reservation Team for reservation configurations and rate loading.
  • Liaise with Conference & Events Coordinator for leads.
  • Coordinate with Rooms and Food & Beverage management on marketing opportunities.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain confidentiality and supervise administrative tasks such as database input, filing, and communication.
  • Prepare end-of-month reports, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Ensure rate accuracy for managed accounts.
  • Complete welcome cards and amenities for VIP clients.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.

Sales Strategies:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers, influencers, and clients.
  • Participate in events to promote the hotel and support sales initiatives.
  • Support client entertainment, site inspections, and other sales activities.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders critical to sales success.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Research client history and prospects.
  • Communicate with hotel departments to ensure sales commitments are met.

Marketing Initiatives:

  • Update Rydges.com and manage social media content.
  • Create promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Conduct guest and customer research for PR and promotional strategies.
  • Coordinate with photographers and designers for promotional content.

Hotel Wide Responsibilities:

  • Ensure hotel policies and standards are followed.
  • Greet VIP clients and assist operations as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work towards budget targets.
  • Adhere to hotel policies and maintain good relationships with staff and management.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
