About Northern Beaches Hospital, operated by Healthscope, we provide a wide range of health services to the local community. Our 488-bed facility comprises 60% public and 40% private beds, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
The hospital is equipped with 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories, and four endoscopy procedure rooms, supported by a critical care unit including two intensive care wards.
As a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area, we strive to optimise patient safety and overall experience. Our highly skilled and expert team of staff are supported by comprehensive professional development opportunities.
Ward 6D: Adult General Medical WardThis 30-bed ward provides high-standard care for adult patients with medical conditions, including geriatrics, renal, endocrine, and neuro issues. The ward features 20 double rooms with en-suite facilities and 10 single rooms, including one negative pressure room and one bariatric room with ceiling hoist.
Our Enrolled Nurses work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based nursing care, ensuring exceptional customer service and safe, researched-based standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-level clinical care and exceptional customer service to patients
- Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care under RN supervision
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to support patient care needs
- Administer medications according to state law and organisational policy
- Act as a role model for safe practice
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Minimum 1 year's experience in the acute setting
- Demonstrated practice according to evidence-based nursing and contemporary practices
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Flexibility with shift allocations and timing
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $31.49 to $34.28 per hour, based on years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' Enterprise Agreement 2020–2024.
