Intensive Care Nurse Specialist

World-class intensive care services are required for patients with life-threatening illnesses and complications at Northern Beaches Hospital. As an experienced Intensive Care nurse, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing expert nursing care to complex patients.
The hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, world-class education centre, doctors lounge and excellent staff facilities including café and car parking.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Maintain high standards of patient care through effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical assessment and evaluation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practice guidelines
- A current Registration with AHPRA or In-Principle approval
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in a local ICU
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent ability to work independently and as a team
An attractive salary package is available, ranging from $35.46 to $49.79 per hour, depending on your years of relevant registered nursing experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including:
