Claims Operations Team Lead

The position of Claims Operations Team Lead is a high-performance role that oversees the management of claims and drives exceptional service delivery to clients and brokers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a visible impact in the Risk Management segment, leading a team and delivering top-notch claims management services. You will work closely with our broking teams to ensure seamless collaboration and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary point of contact for team members on technical issues
  • Manage workload, priorities, and performance of the team
  • Train and develop new starters in the team
  • Drive high performance by aligning individual goals to unit and company objectives
  • Build team capabilities and succession planning through coaching and mentoring
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and coordinate implementation

As a Claims Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing moderate to high complexity claims, liaising with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providers. You will also drive contract negotiation and participate in client/prospect meetings.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience managing direct reports
  • Expertise and knowledge managing Industrial Special Risks and Liability claims
  • Tier 1 ANZIIF qualification or strong background in claims management
  • Strong technical knowledge and claims analysis

Maintain relationships with clients and insurers, exhibit good negotiation and persuasion skills, and demonstrate mature outlook and strength of character.
