About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Kirinari Community Services in Katoomba. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their daily living activities, including domestic and personal care
  • Assist with accessing and participating in community activities and events
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, families, and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to achieve service goals and objectives
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Ability to work shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Resilience, confidence, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn software programs
