About the Role
NTT DATA is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Integration Engineer to spearhead the management of complex technological environments. As a seasoned expert, you will compile technical specifications, explain the pros and cons of various solutions, and develop alternative plans for backup.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement - Collaborate with clients on-site and remotely to address intricate solution requirements.
- Team Leadership - Delegate tasks to engineers, coordinate junior engineers' activities, and monitor work quality.
- Documentation - Prepare reports, proposals, and maintain project documentation.
- Process Improvement - Suggest enhancements to standard operating procedures for installations and fixes.
- Mentorship - Mentor and coach engineers.
- Architecture and Design - Participate in complex solutions, authoring and contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation process.
- Technology Expertise - Work independently, taking ownership of relevant technologies within your domain or specialisation.
- Quality Assurance - Monitor the quality of work produced by Engineers and Technicians, recommending continuous improvements.
- Liaison - Liaise with vendors for priority escalations or bugs found during deployments.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise - In-depth understanding and appreciation of technical solution design and business principles.
- Project Fundamentals - Strong project fundamentals demonstrated through successful installations and assignments.
- Leadership - Proven ability to take ownership as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle.
- Domain Knowledge - Extensive specialist knowledge and expertise in relevant domains.
- Networking Experience - Significant experience in technical implementation engineering, particularly in Networking technologies.
- Advanced Certifications - Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following Networking technologies: EVPN VXLAN, Cisco SDA, MPLS/Segment Routing, Overlay/Underlay WAN technologies.
Academic Qualification and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
- Professional level certifications in different Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP etc.
Clearance
A minimum of baseline security clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) is required. Negative Vetting 2 is desirable.
