Senior IT Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Lockheed Martin Australia. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our virtualized multi-user systems and standalone devices within our training centers.
Key Responsibilities- System Maintenance: Ensure that all systems are compliant with configuration controls and documentation.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and resolve physical and virtualized server infrastructure issues.
- Operating System Management: Maintain and support various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
- Database Management: Manage and maintain the content of SQL databases.
- Backup and Recovery: Create and maintain full system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- System Performance: Monitor, maintain, and optimize system performance.
- Documentation: Maintain and produce accurate system documentation.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers and action problem reports.
- Excellent Learning Ability: Demonstrate an excellent aptitude for learning and proven ability to apply knowledge.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as contribute to team outcomes.
- Initiative and Motivation: Excellent initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to accept responsibility.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to apply critical thinking skillsets to resolve problems.
- Communication Skills: Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Windows Experience: Substantial experience with Windows Operating Systems and Windows Server administration.
- SQL Experience: Proficient in SQL Database administration.
- VMware Experience: Experience with VMware virtualized environments.
- Linux Experience: Experience with Linux OS administration.
- MS Office Skills: Intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain a CoA security clearance with a view to eventually obtaining CoA NV2 security clearance.
