About this role

We are looking for a laundry assistant to help us with cleaning and maintaining clothing/linen. This is a part-time position that can offer opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, and distribute clothing/linen
  • Maintain adequate stocks of supplies at all times
  • Ensure chemicals are available for washing and the correct wash cycle is used for all loads
  • Ensure heavily soiled items are handled in line with Infection Control Procedures

Requirements:

  • You will have good interpersonal skills, including being able to communicate effectively and compassionately
  • You must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Previous experience working in a commercial laundry facility and/or an aged care facility would be advantageous
