Key Role:

Supply Chain Management Specialist

This position is responsible for managing the procurement lifecycle, from quotation to delivery, ensuring that all activities are aligned with corporate policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pricing structures for Commonwealth requirements, including Firm-Fixed Price, Not-to-Exceed, and Rough Order of Magnitude quotations.
  • Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and general business developments to inform supplier selection and negotiation strategies.
  • Investigate potential suppliers for direct parts and repair services, evaluating their capabilities and reliability.
  • Identify and address shortfalls in the supplier base to support commodity requirements, ensuring a robust supply chain.
  • Elicit quotes and orders from suppliers to guarantee timely delivery, quality, and adherence to corporate KPIs.
  • Assess and award quotations received from suppliers, ensuring alignment with corporate requirements.
  • Manage supplier performance, driving resolution where necessary to maintain high standards.
  • Negotiate and prepare agreements for Indefinite Demand, Indefinite Quantity, Long Term Agreements, Contract Purchase Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Establish and enforce SCM planning metrics throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in supply chain management, coupled with strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, preferably within the Defence Industry.
  • A Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is desirable, but relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience handling export/import and trade compliance requirements.

To succeed in this role, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian government security clearance.
