About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Expert to join our Component Solutions Mining team. The role can be based in Brisbane or Newcastle.

The Reliability Manager will oversee the performance of Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Components, working directly with production teams, customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to support OHV Repair and return and UTEX work within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support internal and customer component-related issues and ensure components are built to the highest standards.
  • Provide Warranty Management support and communication with internal and external stakeholders and manage decision processes.
  • Ensure all UGL components are built to OEM standards.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting expertise to customers regarding OHV components used in mining equipment.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess the performance of equipment, identify any issues, and provide support.
  • Develop training materials and documentation to educate customers and internal teams about proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of OHV Components.
  • Lead projects aimed at fostering growth and development in future product markets.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have experience with overhaul or maintenance of Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) components, gearboxes, gearsets, or electrically driven components, gained in the mining, rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics, or any other safety-critical environment.

You will also possess:

  • A relevant trade - Mechanical/Electrical experience or Engineering Degree.
  • A high level of business and commercial acumen.
  • Experience working at the site level supporting technical issues, fitment, and replacement.
  • Experience working on OEM mining equipment components.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written), including business writing skills.
  • Experience in managing projects.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
