About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Coles Group. This is a brand-new opportunity to lead the implementation and management of sourcing activities for the Digital category, working closely with stakeholders to deliver value, innovation, and cost reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and support initiatives to reduce costs, waste, and unproductive practices
- Support category spend visibility and insight through available data
- Engage with stakeholders throughout the strategy development and sourcing execution process, ensuring alignment of objectives to build a clear understanding of business requirements for third-party goods and services
- Manage sourcing activities, prioritizing and rebalancing against business objectives
- Develop and own the total cost of ownership strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risk from changes in markets
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of the technology landscape, experience working on system integrations, technological transformation projects, and software licensing. You will also have:
- Related tertiary qualification, ideally in commerce, supply chain management, law, or a related field
- Competent in Ariba, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and e-procurement tools/systems
- Highly developed commercial experience, gained in large commercial, FMCG, retail, enterprise, banking, or consultancy environments
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills, gained in major projects and contract negotiations
- Deep value chain management knowledge, including the ability to look for value beyond savings via efficiency and quality benefits available through technology
