Job Title: Aboriginal Community Advocate

">About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Victorian Aboriginal community, supporting and advocating for their needs. As an advocate, you will collaborate with Orange Door staff and leadership to deliver services to Aboriginal families and children who require support.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Aboriginal families and children to understand their unique needs and provide targeted support.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote cultural awareness and understanding within the organisation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address systemic barriers that impact Aboriginal families and children.
">Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as social work, social sciences or related area.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal cultures and communities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Aboriginal families and children.
