Transportation Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced transportation development specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transport group, you will be responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services to a diverse range of projects within the ANZ transport portfolio.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity in our Brisbane office. The successful candidate will report directly to the section leader and be responsible for assisting with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.

The role also involves managing Jacobs risk on proposals and projects by undertaking engineering roles. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise across civil/road's projects and be involved in the development of proposals.

This is a global setting that encourages cross-geography relationships to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people. You will have the opportunity to mentor and facilitate the technical development of engineers within the team to meet market requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing consultancy and engineering services to a diverse range of projects within the ANZ transport portfolio
  • Assisting with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects
  • Managing Jacobs risk on proposals and projects by undertaking engineering roles
  • Providing technical expertise across civil/road's projects
  • Being involved in the development of proposals

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering qualification and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Vast design experience in roads/highways
  • Knowledge and understanding of appropriate standards and accepted practices from a consultancy or equivalent road agency
  • Strong capacity to work well within a team
  • Good communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Ability to actively engage in business development Jacobs
