Job Role

The role of Building Designer involves preparing and coordinating various documentation for residential developments. This includes DA, CDC, and CC documentation, as well as ensuring all work aligns with planning regulations, building codes, and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage DA, CDC, and CC documentation for new projects
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including sales, construction, estimating, and procurement to achieve project goals
  • Apply innovative design principles across a variety of housing types, focusing on enhancing the resident experience
  • Contribute to design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in residential design
  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture or Building Design
  • Strong proficiency in software tools such as ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Sound knowledge of relevant NSW planning legislation and building codes
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
