Duty Supervisor

About the Role

The Duty Supervisor is a key position within the Orange Aquatic Centre, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility. This includes supervision of staff, water quality, facility maintenance, customer service, and work health and safety obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure the opening and closure of the facility are conducted in accordance with established procedures.
  • Address customer complaints in a satisfactory manner.
  • Implement staff rosters, procedures, and systems, including calling in staff to cover absences.
  • Assist with general day-to-day operational duties, including lifeguarding as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant previous experience in supervising staff.
  • Certificate III in Aquatics or Royal Lifesaving Pool Operations certificate.
  • Current Royal Life Saving Society Australia Pool Lifeguard Licence for Orange Aquatic Centre.
  • Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) certificate.
  • Current Provide CPR (HLTAID001) certificate.
  • Chemical Handling Certificate / Statement of Attainment or ability to acquire within 3 months.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and customers.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
