We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team in Sydney.

This role is part of our second line compliance (2LoD) function, which plays a critical role in mitigating regulatory compliance risks and ensuring the effective implementation of controls.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) requirements, consumer protection and conduct regulations, and related policies and procedures.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Regulatory Compliance oversight framework, including updates to local policies and procedures.
  • Represent regulatory compliance oversight to regulators, auditors, and partners as required.

About the Role

  • Previous experience in a financial regulation advisory role or in a Compliance/Legal department, Risk and Controls function, or consultancy environment.
  • Familiarity with regulations and regulatory guides as they relate to AFSL and limited ADI (PPF).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively.

Requirements

  • Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
  • Additional travel may be required to offices located in different countries.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with regulators and other stakeholders to ensure that we are aware of any changes to regulatory requirements.
