About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Subsurface Data Services team in Eastern Australia. This role will involve enhancing the delivery and quality of subsurface data for asset teams, regulatory compliance, and supporting senior members with data improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in data management and analysis, and proficiency in SQL and Python scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Delivery: Provide sourcing, validating, ingesting, curating, and presenting subsurface data in compliance with company standards and processes.
  • Data Management: Maintain master data stores for subsurface data and advocate for process improvements in data management.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for essential subsurface data administration tasks and workflows.
  • Data Quality Improvement: Enhance the quality of existing data by undertaking data management project work and data analysis as prescribed by the Asset and/or Function.
  • Data Distribution & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and distribute data to joint venture parties, external vendors, and regulators as required.

About You

We are looking for collaborative individuals with demonstrated skills and experience in:

  • Ideally have experience in oil and gas exploration and production, gained at a major oil and gas company or application vendor, but not essential.
  • Sound knowledge in data management and data analysis.
  • Ideally have SQL and Python scripting skills and demonstrated proficiency in using databases, document management systems, and dashboarding tools.
  • Proven experience in supporting or managing projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint; and Microsoft Power Apps and other data and workflow automation tools is highly desirable.

Estimated Salary Range: AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
