Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Library Technician to join our team of casual staff. This role will provide an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service at branch libraries and mobile library services.
  • Demonstrate excellent foundational skills in circulation and information services.
  • Be a skilled communicator and enjoy working with a variety of colleagues and customers.
  • Participate in the delivery of library programs and mobile services.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Essential: Diploma or equivalent in Library Technology, as recognized by ALIA.
  • Previous library experience.
  • Strong commitment to customer-focused service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant computer skills.
  • Current class C driver's license.
  • Working with Children Check number.
Benefits:
  • Salary and conditions of employment in accordance with Council's Enterprise Agreement.
  • Entry level for this position starts at $38.9186 per hour plus 25% casual loading.
  • Casual working hours.
