OverviewLibrary Technician - Customer Service - Casual, Blacktown, New South Wales.
We are seeking enthusiastic, qualified Library Technicians to join our team of casual staff.The successful applicants will provide outstanding customer service at our branch libraries and mobile library service.
You will demonstrate excellent foundational skills in circulation and information services, be a skilled communicator and enjoy working with a wide variety of colleagues and customers.

About Blacktown City LibrariesWe have 6 community libraries across our local government area: Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Stanhope Gardens, Riverstone, Lalor Park, and Marsden Park Temporary Library.
We also have a popular mobile library service.
We offer a wide range of services including borrowing services, a digital library, study support services, technology workshops, and multicultural, children and youth services.

Essential — Qualifications and experienceLibrary Technician Diploma, Associate Diploma or equivalent, as recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)Previous library experienceDemonstrated strong commitment to a customer focused serviceExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenDemonstrated ability to work within a team environment and independentlyWell-developed problem-solving skillsRelevant computer skillsCurrent class C driver's licenceWorking with Children Check numberDesirableFirst aid certificationAbility to speak a community languageRemuneration and BenefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.Entry level for this position starts at $38.9186 per hour plus 25% casual loadingCasual working hoursEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.This position has been identified as child related work, in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013.
