Freight Forwarding Opportunity

As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of inventory and warehouse operations.

You will be working in a supportive environment with a collaborative operational team, where you can grow your career in logistics.

The role involves correctly receipting cargo into the warehouse, confirming picks and orders are ready for delivery next day, and arranging urgent picks when required. You will also be monitoring new orders throughout the day, advising the office when orders have been picked and are ready to book transport, and ensuring correct orders are dispatched to the correct contractor.

In addition, you will be checking in and matching cargo against manifests, taking photos if damage is noted on cargo, and sending check ins to customs and airfreight teams to ensure outturns are within KPIs. You will also be identifying high-risk cargo and storing it in the deadhouse when required, as well as checking in drivers at the office prior to entering the warehouse.

Your other responsibilities will include unpacking airfreight units as soon as possible, assisting with DAI scanning and magazine releases where required, and storing customs HELD/Quarantine HELD cargo in correct locations. You will also be repalletising where required, directing drivers to reception if paperwork has not been retrieved, and ensuring correct cargo is released to drivers based on paperwork.

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse environment, and you should be an experienced warehouse professional. Knowledge of CargoWise or WMS is advantageous, and you will need to be able to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

You will also need strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.
