International Customs Clearance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled International Customs Clearance Specialist to ensure the smooth and compliant movement of international shipments through customs and regulatory processes.

About the Role

This is a key position that requires close collaboration with customers, government agencies, and internal teams to facilitate efficient customs clearance operations and maintain regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for handling end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Your expertise will include reviewing customs documentation, classifying goods according to customs regulations, determining duty rates and tax liabilities, resolving customs-related issues, and providing exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and proactively resolving any clearance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle customs clearance processes for import and export shipments.
  • Review customs documentation and classify goods according to customs regulations.
  • Determine duty rates and tax liabilities.
  • Resolve customs-related issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in customs.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and trade compliance.
  • Proficiency in customs clearance software and online customs portal.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail.
