About the Role

This is a highly sought-after position that requires a seasoned leader to spearhead cloud security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of cybersecurity experts and lead strategic activities related to cloud security, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster effective communication and address security concerns.
  3. Develop comprehensive plans for delivering cloud security packages within agreed timelines, leveraging proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes.
  4. Establish a robust strategy to drive cloud security outcomes, safeguarding critical assets and data against cyber threats.
  5. Implement industry-standard compliance frameworks, such as NIST and PSPF, into design and build baselines to achieve the desired security posture.
  6. Create cross-functional working groups and projects to optimize collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  7. Promote thought leadership in cloud and emerging technologies, contributing to industry discourse and organizational innovation in cybersecurity practices.
  8. Drive results under tight deadlines, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and ensuring timely completion of cybersecurity initiatives with high quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience managing a security team in a large enterprise.
  • 7+ years of experience working in areas related to cyber security, such as Security Operations Centres (SOC), auditing, security architecture, regulatory affairs or public sector agencies involved in cybersecurity management.
  • Deep understanding of at least two of the following areas: application security, network security, platform security, cross-domain solutions and cryptography.
  • Proficient with government security frameworks, policies and standards (e.g. PSPF, ISM, DSPF, ASD Essential Eight).
