Job Title: Product Development Manager

This pivotal role bridges the gap between product formulation and production, guiding the journey of new products from procurement of packaging materials to sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage packaging design and specifications.
  • Coordinate commercialisation timelines for new products.
  • Attend product launch meetings and track related tasks.
  • Source packaging quotes and suppliers for new products, negotiate pricing for raw materials.
  • Provide key advice on product container sizing and type to optimise freight and manage export logistics.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure all export requirements and legislation are met.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Commercialisation and food packaging experience within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Export process and procedure knowledge or willingness to learn.
  • Supplier coordination and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving and solution identification skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly in customer contact via phone and email.
  • Confident decision-making skills.
