Undergraduate Dental Supervisor

About the Role
Albury Wodonga Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic dentist to provide clinical supervision for undergraduate dental students in our busy public clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising 4th and 5th-year dental students from La Trobe University and will carry an honorary title with the university.
The role involves working with the AWH program manager and senior dental assistant, as well as the LTU Student Clinical Support Officer, to oversee the daily operations of the student clinical program. This includes intake and triage of referrals suitable for the student clinic, optimising student allocations, and providing high-quality clinical supervision and assessment of student learning and performance.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of current clinical practice, demonstrate a high level of clinical competency in dental practice, and demonstrate capability in effective clinical supervision. Consideration will be given to permanent, full-time, and part-time options, as well as ongoing casual arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise undergraduate dental students in a busy public clinic
- Work with the AWH program manager and senior dental assistant to oversee the daily operations of the student clinical program
- Provide high-quality clinical supervision and assessment of student learning and performance
- Have a minimum of 3 years of current clinical practice
- Demonstrate a high level of clinical competency in dental practice
- Demonstrate capability in effective clinical supervision
