Construction Project Director

About the Position:

This role requires a seasoned project management expert with expertise in construction and infrastructure development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.

  • Develop detailed estimates and budgets for projects, including GMP/Lump Sum contracts.

  • Source cost-effective subcontractors and materials, negotiating favorable terms.

  • Establish effective project controls, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

  • Maintain open communication with owners, architects, and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.

  • Collaborate with superintendents to design and implement safety protocols, minimizing risks.

  • Monitor and report project progress to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement.

  • Supervise project teams, providing training and guidance to ensure success.

  • Facilitate regular meetings with management and subcontractors to discuss project status and challenges.

  • Ensure contract compliance, documenting all significant events and issues.

  • Direct preconstruction services, including bid package preparation and negotiation.

  • Support business development initiatives, participating in job interviews and client meetings.

  • Maintain quality control standards, ensuring excellence in project execution.

  • Avoid or mitigate claims and disputes through proactive issue resolution.

  • Complete all close-out procedures, ensuring project handover is smooth and efficient.

  • Conduct warranty follow-up activities, ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Prioritize completing projects within full or enhanced fee structures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
