The Unaccredited Medical Trainee - Medicine position at Healthscope Hospitals offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative clinical environment. As a key member of the Adult Medicine team, you will be responsible for providing medical care to patients in conjunction with specialists and admitting medical officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinical rotations in Medicine and Relief, with opportunities for terms in Cardiology, Aged Care, General Medicine, and MAU.
- Contribute to after-hours rosters and participate in Hospital-at-Night cover in the Division of Medicine.
- Work collaboratively with specialists and admitting medical officers to secure optimum health outcomes for patients.
Requirements:
- Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of three years with progress towards career goals in Medicine.
- Demonstrated clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills in the clinical setting.
