Medical Officer/Senior Medical Officer Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled medical professionals to join our team at a leading teaching hospital in a regional area.
Job Summary: We are seeking a Career Medical Officer and a Senior Career Medical Officer to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology team. The successful candidates will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional and safe healthcare, with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact sensitively and holistically with women experiencing complex pain.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing specialized Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, teaching and supervising trainees and medical students, and participating in clinical governance and quality and safety activities. They will also be expected to contribute to research opportunities within the field and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized Obstetrics and Gynaecology services within a multidisciplinary gynaecological oncology service
- Teach and supervise Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees and Medical students
- Liaise and collaborate with medical practitioners, voluntary and government agencies concerned with Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Participate in clinical governance and quality and safety activities
- Contribute to research opportunities within the field
Requirements:
- Relevant registration or eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of 3 years' postgraduate experience in public hospital service (Career Medical Officer) or 4 years' experience as a Career Medical Officer or equivalent (Senior Career Medical Officer)
- Proven performance in both undergraduate and postgraduate general practice education
