Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing Caterpillar products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing regular maintenance schedules and repairs on Caterpillar products in the workshop
  • Managing work orders to extend the life cycle of the machines
  • Implementing product improvement plans and product support programs
  • Operating to safe work practices in a collaborative manner

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of equipment, including small BCON machines to larger Mining Equipment, Road Transport C15 Engines, Power Generation & Marine Engine product line.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Strong passion for quality of work & continuous improvement principles
  • Previous mechanical experience working on Caterpillar products is desirable but not essential
  • Alignment with and exhibition of our company's values
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous experience working with Caterpillar products is highly regarded
