Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic Role

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs on heavy diesel plant equipment in a workshop setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Repairing and servicing heavy diesel plant machinery
  2. Managing work orders to extend the life cycle of machines
  3. Implementing product improvement plans and product support programs
  4. Operating to safe work practices in a collaborative manner

Responsibilities include but are not limited to repairing and servicing heavy diesel plant machinery, managing work orders to extend the life cycle of machines, implementing product improvement plans and product support programs, and operating to safe work practices in a collaborative manner.

Qualifications include a recognized Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate or equivalent, demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, ability to work well within a team environment, strong passion for quality of work and continuous improvement principles, and previous mechanical experience working on Caterpillar products is desirable but not essential.

The Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic plays a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our workshops by performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs on heavy diesel plant equipment.

Our workshops operate 9/5 or 10 hour days with options for overtime and a residential location in Geraldton.
