Procurement and Supply Chain Optimization Role

This position combines strategic purchasing and analytical planning to optimize material procurement, ensure inventory availability, and drive supply chain efficiency in the aviation field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with vendors for best prices, quality, and delivery times while adhering to corporate policies.
  • Analyze consumption patterns, forecast future demand, and determine optimal stock levels across multiple sites.
  • Source primary and secondary vendors for assigned product types and monitor orders for delivery schedules and price changes.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or excess/obsolete inventory, and provide recommendations for disposition.
  • Maintain accurate records of open purchase orders, including part numbers, pricing, and delivery dates.
  • Create, maintain, and ensure data accuracy within ERP, MRP, and BI systems.
  • Interface with users to determine potential changes in usage patterns and communicate proactive solutions to stakeholders.
  • Track and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related curriculum.
  • Minimum three years of purchasing experience, preferably in the aviation field.
  • Proficiency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) concepts and systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
