Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  • Providing counsel on industrial disputes, unfair dismissals, and terminations.
  • Participating in employment litigation and related legal proceedings.
  • Conducting workplace investigations and advising on adverse actions.
  • Guiding clients through redundancies, restructuring, and secondments.
  • Drafting and advising on employment contracts and restraints of trade clauses.
  • Addressing issues related to discrimination, diversity, and workplace bullying.
  • Advising on employment considerations during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Managing employee performance and conduct.
  • Delivering workplace training and compliance sessions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of post-admission experience in employment law, with a preference for candidates from in-house environments or employer associations.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting, research, and advisory capacities.
  • Litigation and negotiation expertise.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills.
