Senior Clinical Documentation Specialist

Lead a team to optimize clinical documentation and accurate clinical coding in the healthcare sector. This role involves overseeing a program that ensures best practices, patient safety, and optimal reimbursement.
About the Role- This is a permanent full-time position based at Werribee Hospital
- The classification is Health Information Manager Grade 3 or equivalent
- You will lead a team of two Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (CDIS) with support from the Coding Quality Manager
Utilize Australian-first CDI software to capture and report CDI workflows and impacts. Provide hands-on education and support to clinical managers and leaders, coordinating daily review of inpatient medical records to identify and manage documentation deficiencies.
About You- A minimum of 3 years' experience in coding across various specialties or as a CDIS
- Demonstrated leadership experience and influencing skills are essential
- Excellent communication skills are required to engage with clinicians
- Strong organizational skills and ability to engage with multiple stakeholders are necessary
