Electro-Technical Officer

As an Electro-Technical Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessels' electrical and electronic systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the vessel's overall efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining electrical and electronic equipment on board our vessels
  • Auditing and implementing safe working practices to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Performing scheduled maintenance tasks, including UMS test schedules and alarm tests
  • Assisting during maintenance activities as required, including electrical equipment maintenance
  • First-level maintenance of communications, radio, and navigation equipment
  • Providing critical support for the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment during cargo operations
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid AMSA Electro-Technical Officer CoC/CoR Unlimited qualification
  • Possess at least 12 months of relevant experience in electro-technical roles
  • Be certified in Safety Training (STCW)
  • Hold a Work Safely at Heights Certification
  • Have Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification
  • Hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Be an Australian citizen or possess unlimited Australian working rights
  • Be comfortable wearing a respirator
